Pina Colada Smoothies

When I went to Hawaii last year with my husband, I didn’t realize that pineapples were such a big thing over there. The company Dole actually has there “pineapple” plantation there…yes, there’s such a thing as pineapple plantations. Even though we didn’t have time to visit the plantation, we stopped by numerous fruit stands to buy fresh, straight from the plantation pineapples. They smelled so delicious, and they tasted so so sweet.

I was seriously in pineapple heaven. It’s probably one of my favorite fruits… anything pineapple flavored, I will enjoy. Add coconut flavor, and you have a classic combination.
Since pineapples are in season (and the weather is warming up), I will share with you this refreshing pineapple drink. I used real coconut milk (make sure you don’t get the kind that has water added to it), and freshly cut pineapple. You could use canned pineapple if you can’t find the fresh fruit. And make sure to top it off with whipped cream (I used frozen whipped topping).

This sounds reeally good! Is there a reason you used agave nectar specifically? Like.. does it have a different flavor? I've heard it has high levels of fructose so I never even thought about buying it but it looks like it tastes good for some reason lol but regardless I'm totally trying this the next time we buy pineapple
